Shopping in charity shops has become the new craze. Shoppers have realised that there are shrewd purchases to be made, you just need to know a few best practices to help you find a real bargain (whilst also helping out a good cause).
Our first recommendation will always be to turn clothing inside out when looking at the quality of said goods. Look at the labels, look for holes etc. This could be said for homeware goods also. Check the surface for any major design flaws, wear-and-tear etc.
Absolutely NEVER purchase second hand shoes in charity shops. Nothing worse than buy a pair of shoes where the imprint of the last persons feet are still visible. No matter how clean it may look, there’s obviously a reason why the shoe was given up. Think comfort, quality etc
